PredLab is the paper-trading playground for the NCSSM Prediction Markets Club. You trade Polymarket-style yes/no markets with $25,000 of fake money, practice real strategies, and climb a live club leaderboard.

how the markets work

A market asks a yes/no question (“Will X happen?”). You buy YES or NO shares priced $0.01–$0.99 — the price is the market's implied probability. A winning share pays $1.00 at resolution; a losing share pays $0. Prices are pulled live from the real Polymarket Gamma API, but there is no house market-maker: your order fills only when another member takes the other side.

how your score is computed

net worth = free cash
          + open positions marked at the current price
          + cash escrowed in your resting buy orders

That net-worth figure is your leaderboard score, and the P&L column shows it against the $25,000 you started with. Your line on your profile page updates on every fill and every few minutes.

fair play & AI

AI use is unrestricted and encouraged — bring your own model, framework, or none at all. It's fake money and a learning sandbox: experiment freely, but don't try to break the sim for everyone else.
